Site Specific Art

Definition:
Site specific art is taking in the location and producing art work that is relevant or has meaning to that specific site . The idea behind site specific art is if you removed that artwork and placed it into a new location or in a studio with white walls this art piece would have no meaning , but to place this artwork into its suited location will be the art itself

Artists:
Andy Goldsworthy ,Robert Smithson ,Betty Beaumont

Application:
Tales of a White Trash Prophecy

The first piece focused on the literal trash in the title of the book.

The next one, once again playing off the title, I took the word tales as in relation to story-telling and placed the book on a pile of ‘white trash’ in a setting that alluding to story time setting.
